The aim of the plus2 Science program is to provide “a cut above the rest” human resources to the ever growing demands in the field of science and technology and to prepare students for higher studies in Medicine, Engineering, IT, Biotechnology, General Sciences and research.You will be able to hone your critical thinking skills, become an independent thinker, trouble shooter in experiments, and become proficient at research while expanding your knowledge in three major subjects viz. physics, Chemistry and biology or Mathematics. Our science plus2 graduates are among high achievers comparing with other colleges in securing the top ranks in various national and international competitive entrance examinations, with man varying career possibilities for the future.
A plus2 degree in science is the minimum requirement for most careers in these fields. you are not just limited to a career in one subject, since this triple major combination will provide sufficient knowledge in three distinct subject areas. Medicine, Engineering, IT, Health, Energy, Aerospace are all possible problem solving is a key element for a successful enterprise and the students of maths and physics are welcomed in industry, business and commerce for their analytical ability and systematic, logical approach to complex issues.
This is because of the high regard that Nepali society provides to the Science students and it is also partly because Science is considered to be the stream of very talented and brilliant students. Plus2 science program is divided into two streams- physical and biology group.
MANAGEMENT
Business Studies Group
Major Subjects: Business Studies and Economics
As a graduate of Plus 2 program and after completion of undergraduate studies (BBA/BBS/CA), you will be qualified for management positions in banks, finance companies, schools, colleges, government jobs, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and institutions. Economics group may have their career opportunities as: Accountant (Senior/Junior), Chartered Accountants, Managers, Human Resource Managers, Procurement Department Managers, Cashier etc.
Hotel Management Group
Major Subjects: Hotel Management and Economics
After the completion of Plus 2 Hotel Management course and four years of BHM, you shall be qualified for major positions in hotels, food service, tourism and broader service sectors depending on your program specialization for undergraduate studies. Your career opportunities in hotels, cruises, restaurants, bar, dining & catering departments, conference & exhibition centres, shopping malls, hostels, hospitals and clubs include: Chef, Hotel Manager, Cook, Front Desk Officer, Procurement Department Manager etc.
Computer Group
Major Subjects (Any two): Computer Science and Economics
As you complete your Plus 2 courses majoring Computer Science and Economics qualifies you to study further as a student of BBA/BBS/CA and BCA. To qualify for BBIS, BIM, BIT, you should study at least 100 marks Mathematics in your Plus 2 course.
Math Group
Major Subjects (Any two): Basic Math and Economics/Computer Science
After the completion of your Plus 2 courses majoring Computer Science and Math, you are qualified to study IT in undergraduate programs BBIS, BIM, BIT & BCA and you can take up CA courses if you like. Majoring Economics and Mathematics qualifies you to study further as a student of BBA/BBS/CA and BCA.
HUMANITIES
A plus2 in Humanities is the minimum requirement for most careers in this filed and fosters you to develop excellent skills and enter into a wide range of employment areas. You are not limited tocareers in any single subject because this triple major combination will provide proficient knowledge in three different subjects. There are many employers, representing many different sectors of industries who are interested in the excellent observational, writing skills and strong subject knowledge in students of this background.
Pertaining to mass communications, some of the option to work as a writer or editor in national and international newspaper, radio, television stations, online publications and companies involved in public relations, corporate communications, content writing and marketing. students can also pursue undergraduate and expand it with further research.similarly, there are significant scopes and opportunities available in the field of law & social sciences.
