KUUMAT stands for Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test. The test is made by Kathmandu University is administered by Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). KUUMAT is the first phase test of admission test for students willing to study at Kathmandu University in management programs (BBA, BBIS and BHTM). After passing KUUMAT, you will be eligible to tapply for admission in KUSOM and its affiliated colleges.
KUUMAT will be based on the following assessment domains:
There shall be altogether one hundred (100) objective questions in the CMAT containing twenty (25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. A student must secure a minimum of 40% in the CMAT in order to qualify for the interview.

The MBA program is designed to develop a person’s skills in many areas of business, providing them with an extremely broad knowledge as well as acute abilities. As business operations may have myriad aspects attached to it, students in a MBA program are exposed to a variety of subjects like economics, organizational behavior, marketing, accounting,finance, strategy, operations management, advertising, international business, information technology management, supply chain management, project management, government policy and ethics. Elective courses offer a person the opportunity to develop specialized skills, such as a concentration in the banking and Insurance industry.
TU SOM shall conduct a four-stage admission test for appropriate screening of MBA applicants. The applicants shall be screened in each of the stages.
Nepali and non-Nepali nationals with a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent of at least three years duration in any discipline with a minimum of 50% in aggregate or 2.5 CGPA on a scale of 4 from universities recognized are eligible to apply for Two-Year MBA program.
