A. THE BRITISH COLLEGE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES :

1. BSc (Hons) Computing

The BSc (Hons) Computing Programme is a course run in partnership with Leeds Beckett University, UK, that gives students the unique opportunity to gain a British degree from right here in Nepal.

The curriculum provides detailed knowledge of the key aspects of computing, from the forefront of the discipline – and gives students the ability to undertake computing projects at a professional standard, by the consistent application and review of development, management, and evaluation methods and techniques.

Students studying this course will gain highly sought-after skills in computer programming, database development, networking, website development, systems modelling, and computer security – which are vital for gaining entry into organisations which demand confident and technically equipped computing graduates.

This wide breadth of understanding enables students to be enterprising when devising and sustaining arguments, and further teaches them to solve problems using innovative ideas – by implementing learned techniques in a multicultural and globalised world.

2. BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Digital Forensics

The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Digital Forensics programme at The British College is run in partnership with the University of the West of England, UK, and is one of our highest-ranking degrees for graduate employment.

This exciting course gives students the opportunity to play an important role in helping businesses to manage cyber-attacks and investigate digital evidence. IT security has become a top priority – and there is currently a skills shortage within the field. This means that highly skilled security professionals are in demand and organisations often approach students from the course – leading to most graduates being in employment within six months of graduating.

Our mix of traditional and creative learning environments enable students to gain essential knowledge and real-world skills to prepare them for their future career and opportunities for employment are vast.  Graduates from the course are qualified to enter into a range of careers in the private or public sector, in a variety of roles including working for in-house forensics, e-discovery, security teams, legal practices, and the police force.

 

3. BSc (Hons) Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence, is a course run in partnership with The University of the West of England, UK, that gives students the unique opportunity to gain a British degree from right here in Nepal.

This flexible, employer-focused programme in Computer Science uses modern teaching methods to guide students in the use of complex algorithms. Learners in the course will be taught how to explore big data and implement software on state-of-the-art platforms. Students will also have the chance to choose from suitably designed and selected modules that offer them the opportunity to specialise their knowledge in evolving fields such as Smart Devices.

At the end of the course, graduates will leave with a solid understanding of the basic tools and concepts of modern AI and Data Analytics and be ready to meet the worldwide skills shortage in this area – making them valuable candidates for both the home and the overseas educational market.

 

4. BBA (Hons) Business and Management

The BBA (Hons) Business and Management degree, offered in partnership with the University of the West of England, UK, is a multidisciplinary programme that leads to a wealth of career options, both in the private and public sectors.

The course provides a holistic view of business management while aiming to help students to develop detailed knowledge of the latest business and management practices. The participator and interactive teaching and learning methodologies provide students with the practical competencies necessary for achieving business success, whilst the analytical and enquiring approach in the analysis of business problems, helps students to communicate effectively in a variety of forms.

Throughout the course, students will have the choice of a wide selection of modules which have been designed to provide them with a strong foundation in business, whilst developing their ability to work effectively within a group. The Weekend MBA (Executive) is a career development programme, that offers students the unique opportunity to gain an internationally recognised Masters degree in Nepal from a distinguished British University.

Provided by Leeds Beckett University, UK – the programme is aimed at practitioners with more than two years’ of business experience, who wish to both accelerate their career opportunities and directly apply their learning to enhance their own performance and that of their organisation.

The Executive MBA helps students to expand their knowledge with cornerstone management theories, and encourages them to further specialise within their chosen sector. It also prepares them for the uncertain global business environment, by developing their leadership skills and managerial styles, and transforming them into strategic thinkers.

On completion of the course, students will feel confident in applying and using theory in a practical way, in order to contribute effectively to business and management practices.

Now, with the Weekend EMBA TBC is offering students a NEW flexible schedule that allows them to study in the evening and/or at the weekend, making it ideal for the busy, working professional.

About the Course

The MBA (Graduate) is a career-oriented programme from Leeds Beckett University, UK. The primary aim of the programme is to provide postgraduate level knowledge, understanding, and skills that can prepare students for a career in business and management.

Throughout the programme, students have the opportunity to develop their management and leadership style, in order to think and move strategically in uncertain business environments.

Students on the programme will also learn how to apply academic theories and concepts whilst addressing real-life business issues, in order to be equipped with the analysis and communication skills that are needed to work with stakeholders in businesses from a diverse background.

Independent learning, along with creative and critical thinking skills, are all developed throughout the students’ project work, to help them to become innovative and entrepreneurial in generating and implementing effective ideas in their work.

The MSc Information and Technology is a programme rich in a specialisation, that provides a transformational experience to its students by integrating the technological and business aspects of modern IT.

In an era where digitalisation is pervasive across all sectors and industries, the course has been designed to address the high demands of both the private and public sectors, by filling the current digital skills gap.

It further provides students with the knowledge required to succeed in the industry, and develops them into skilled IT experts, with the ability to deal with complex IT issues in business – both systematically and creatively.
