Prime College Gears Up for the Shrijay Memorial ICT Cup 2025
The much-anticipated futsal tournament, now renamed as the Shrijay Memorial ICT Cup in honor of the late Mr. Shrijay Tuladhar, former president of Prime IT Club, is back for its second edition! Organized by Prime IT Club, a vibrant student-led initiative of Prime College, this event embodies camaraderie, competition, and a refreshing break for the IT community. Mark your calendars for two action-packed days—January 12 and 19, 2025, at United Futsal, Bafal.
A Break from the Digital Grind
With the motto “Break From Tech,” the Shrijay Memorial ICT Cup aims to offer a much-needed escape for IT professionals across Kathmandu Valley. It’s a chance to trade keyboards for cleats, leaving behind the hustle of coding and deadlines to revel in the spirit of sportsmanship.
This year’s tournament features 16 fierce teams, competing in a knockout format. The competition heats up as the strongest eight teams advance to the quarterfinals, culminating in an electrifying semifinal and final showdown on Day 2. The stakes are high, with the winning team bagging Rs. 40,000 and the runner-up taking home Rs. 20,000.
Will Cloudfactory Reign Supreme?
The reigning champions, Cloudfactory, are back to defend their title, but their road to victory won’t be easy. Last year’s runner-up, Rumsan, is determined to turn the tables this
time. Adding to the excitement, new teams are set to join the fray, promising unpredictable twists and intense matches. Could this year crown a new champion, or will Cloudfactory maintain their dominance? Only time will tell as the tournament unfolds.
Set to follow the tournament, ICT Meetup V8.0 will bring together enthusiasts for an unparalleled experience, featuring competitions, workshops, a hackathon, engaging sessions, and an exhilarating musical night.
